Tom Ridge Delivers Keynote Address at The 2007 Alternative Public Strategies Conference

The Honorable Thomas J. Ridge, First Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security and Former Governor of Pennsylvania delivered the keynote address at the 2007 Alternative Public Strategies Conference hosted by Belmont Partners, LLC in Washington, DC on June 27, 2007. Governor Ridge, one of the most respected and admired leaders in the world, has an extraordinary record and breadth of public service, success and experience. Governor Ridge?s remarks were global in scope and highlighted risk management, national security, and the challenges and rewards of corporate global expansion in the 21st century. According to Joseph Meuse, Managing Director of Belmont Partners, "We were very fortunate to have Governor Ridge deliver the conference keynote address. Governor Ridge is a demonstrated leader, and dynamic speaker with strategic insight into world affairs. His unique perspective was deeply relevant and well received by all." Governor Ridge has more than 25 years in public service, with varied experiences in Vietnam, U.S. Congress, the Pennsylvania statehouse and the cabinet of President George W. Bush. Governor Ridge served as the country?s first Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, assisting the President and acting as primary U.S. liaison in the international fight against terror and in securing U.S. interests around the globe. Additionally, Governor Ridge served as Pennsylvania?s 43rd governor from 1995 to 2001. He now consults on issues including security, international relations, economic development, technology and education.
